Educational disparities/inequalities - There are many social and economic disadvantages that negatively affect the entire family. African American families disproportionately represent essential workers who are unable to work from home, thus leaving them less able to provide parental academic support and supervision that is necessary.
Educational influences from poor nutrition - Emotional responses and interactions to stress are heightened. Children are more prone to have learning disabilities and medical complications. it also effects conditions such as ADHD, autism, pre-diabetes, and diabetes. Malnutrition can result in long term neural issues.
